Carminative that relieves flatulence for treating gastric discomfort and stomach that increase appetite. Rind is also both stomachic and carminative. Lemon juice , the expressed and the strain juice of the ripe fruit, is valuable as anti scorbutic and refrigerant. It destroy the toxin in the body. The detoxifying properties arise from high potassium content, the germs of diphtheria, typhoid and other deadly diseases are destroy by it use. The juice also encourage bile secretion and is valuable in jaundices and gravel - a condition of small stone in the urinary tract.
The back of a lemon fruit is use as febrifuge which prevent fever and seeds as a vermifuge which expel worm from intestine

The lemon is chiefly value for it vitamin C content, it's juice contain more vitermin tha the whole fruit, being about 60 mg per 100 gram. the juice also contain appreciable quantity of vitamin B. this make it anti scorbutic or an excellent medicine for the treatment of Scurvy.

Due to it's high content of vitamin C, lemon strengthens the gums and the teeth. It is also very effective in the treatment and prevention of acute inflammation of the gums margins, pyorrhea, dental caries and other oral diseases.
