Mango


Description
  The mango enjoy a unique status among the fruits, it is the most popular fruit in the tropics and is called the king of Asiatic fruit. It is regarded as a valuable item of diet and a house hold remedy. The mango is a fleshy drupe, variable in size and shape, with varying mixture of green, yellow and red colour. inside the fruit is a stony endocarp, variable in size. Mango grow on a large, erect, branch, evergreen tree. The leaves, when fully grown, are stiff , pointed and deep glossy green. These are use in ceremonial decorations. the dry twigs are use to light sacred fires. The worst type of mango are very fibrous with turpentine flavour, but the best are juicy, sweet, with very little fibre and a deliciously piquant flavour.

Rice

Description
   Rice is much-revered oriental food and the most important tropical cereal. It is a staple food of about half the human race and often the main source of calories and the principal food of many million of people.
    Rice from which only husk has been removed. But layers of bran and most of the germ retained, is known brown rice. Rice from which husk, germ and  bran layers as almost been removed completely by power machinery is known as a milled rice.
     Rice milled to a high degree is known as White rice. Rice from which husk, germ and bran as been partially remove without the use of machinery is known as hand-pounded rice.
     Rice milled to a high degree and then coated with some foreign substance such as glucose or talcum is known as polished rice.  Paddy specially produced by steaming or soaking in water, then heated and dried, is called parboiled paddy. It can then be milled to various degree or home pounded. parboiled milled or parboiled home pounded.

The fruit is a fleshy, round or lobed, smooth or furrowed, red, pink or yellow berry with numerous flat, slightly curved seeds.
    The tomato originally has a small, wrinkle thick-skinned and seedy vegetable, much more smaller in shape and size and irregular in form. Barley


Description
Barley is the forth important cereal crop in the world, it is very nutritious and an excellent body-builder.
Barley resemble wheat in composition although it is less palatable. The barley grain, also called pearl barley, is prepare by removing the outer husk.

Origin and Distribution
Barley was the first cereal food to be domesticated in the middle east at 9,000 years and was probably the most important of the early cereals. Hulled barley was grown the ancient Egyptians. IT is now widely grown in Europe and region near the Sahara and the high plateau of Tibet. The world largest producer are Soviet Union, Germany, China and the United State.

Food Value
Barley is very nutritious and a rich source of protein and vitamin B-complex. Its protein content is superior to the protein of corn and beans.
    Most of the world's Barley is converted into malt. it is the most important cereal use in brewing of beer. Barley cannot be used for  leavened bread because of low gluten content. Its is more used in soup.
   Barley is also widely used as feed for live stock.
